Return On Investment (ROI)
Everyone benefits from using the Theralase laser system; your patient gets better through safe and effective treatments, while your practice generates increased revenue. The graph below shows monthly revenues and return on investment calculations for a TLC-1007H system varying upon the number of treatments delivered per month and the cost per treatment.
Reimbursement
Theralase is more affordable than ever for US practitioners and patients. With Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes assigned by the American Medical Association, the Theralase reimbursement strategy allows practitioners and patients to claim cold laser treatments through public health insurance programs, as well as private programs.Public Reimbursement
Theralase treatments are reimbursable through public insurance in the United States Average cost per treatment with public reimbursement is between $0 and $40. The total level of reimbursement is dependant on third party insurer and state.
With the aid of clinical studies, Theralase anticipates securing a new CPT code for the TLC-2000 biofeedback laser (soon to be released), which will make treatments for this device eligible for public reimbursement as well.
Private Reimbursement
With private insurance programs (paid for by the patient) the average cost is between $40 and $100 per treatment. The overall cost of treatment is largely dependant on practitioner qualifications and proximity to urban centers.
